Join us on a new Bible Reading Plan for 2023 as each week we read through together one of the Psalms of Ascent (Psalm 120 to Psalm 134) as we countdown to Conference.
The Psalms of Ascent
The Psalms of Ascent are a collection of 15 songs that were sung by ancient Jewish travellers as they journeyed towards Jerusalem to celebrate the passover (the feast the commemorates the Exodus story). These 15 songs were memorised and sung as all the Jewish people traveled long distances to Jerusalem every year. The collection of songs are deliberately chosen with a specific purpose – to prepare worshippers to enter into sacred fellowship with Yahweh, their creator, at the most significant occasions of the Jewish Calendar.
Join us on this weekly Bible Reading Plan as we use the Psalms of Ascent to prepare our minds for Youth Conference. As we plan for our own journey to develop a relationship with Yahweh at Conference we’ll read through one Psalm each week, mirroring the journey of ancient worshippers towards an Exodus celebration in Jerusalem.
